Ashland's Mountain
This picture showcases Ashland, Oregon with its cultural landmarks: the historic Ashland Springs Hotel, constructed during the era of health spas and mineral springs (1925); the renowned open-air Elizabethan Theater, one of three venues for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (established in 1937). The Varsity Theater (1937), has been the home of the Ashland Independent Film Festival since 2002. The background expands to represent the glory of Mt Ashland’s watershed including Lithia Park, more than 150 miles of hiking and biking trails, and the ski area above.
